Artist Bio

Kri Yamada is a visual artist blending fiber, encaustic mixed media and photography. Her practice explores themes of identity, spirit, ecologies of relation and non-linear time as invitations to deeper meaning, connection and belonging. Kri orients towards the paradox of re-integrating fragmented pieces of self, while releasing the notion of self altogether. Her process is intuitive, much like her work in fashion and healing practice, both of which are lenses that often become braided through her art.
